i remember i used to sneak off and drop off my little sister at rainbow park and would pay him $5 to babysit her so that i could go to my friends house, he used to be so cheap about it he'd always ask for more.

though we didn't talk as much during school i already made up my mind that we'd become good friend and once we went into jonior high we started to talk and bond more. after the accident and the school announcing his passing i was devastated

to this day i forever think about you and though i wasnt able to go to your funeral, every november 11th i alway go to the bench in your name and just sit there and just think about you non stop

i love you spencer you will forever live in my heart <3

when i first moved into a new apartment that's when i met spencer, we did'nt talk much at first but then at a fireworks show he was playing a game that i love then we became best friend, we would have 4 sleep overs in a row, have dinner, hang out in the city and many more, people in our neighborhood and in our school would say we looked like double gangers (twins) and i soon started to believe it, i miss you spencer and i'll never forget our memeries together

He was the best until anybody could ask for he was always there for me no matter what I did or what happened when I got told that he passed away I was devastated I cried I still do carry to the point where I get really bad headaches anyways I love him - Sarah his niece

I had the privilege of being Spencer's music teacher at RPS for a time. I remember him coming in an awesome Edward Scissorhands costume one Halloween. He was a sweet young man....gone too soon. Prayers for those closest to him at this time.

To Bev, Mike and Family: I will miss his razor-sharp wit and clever comebacks. Like the Wayfarer eyeglasses which were resilient, as was Spencer. Like the namesake of those glasses frames, so too was he a wayfarer, and even with his owie he recently sustained on his foot, it didn't keep him from walking. Even though our family never met this beautiful boy, my family has been forever changed because of his life. My husband did not go to work Monday morning he instead went just down the road from our home to where the search party was looking for Spencer. Joe felt so compelled to join the Ground Search and Rescue because of this event. Just know that there are so many people who send their love and prayers to the family.

Dear Family: I do not know any of you but I heard about this tragedy on the news. I too lost a child a long time ago, under different circumstances but whenever I hear of another child’s death, the pain is all brand new again. Whenever terrible circumstances take the life of one so young, we ask why...always why. There is no answer. I offer a poem that may or not bring a bit of peace for you at this horrible time. May God Bless you all and bring you comfort in time. Just For Today For Bereaved Parents by Vicki Tushingham Just for today I will try to live through the next 24 hours and not expect to get over my child's death, but instead learn to live with it, just one day at a time. Just for today I will remember my child's life, not just her death, and bask in the comfort of all those treasured days and moments we shared. Just for today I will forgive all the family and friends who didn't help or comfort me the way I needed them to. They truly did not know how. Just for today I will smile no matter how much I hurt on the inside, for maybe if I smile a little, my heart will soften and I will begin to heal. Just for today I will reach out to comfort a relative or friend of my child, for they are hurting too, and perhaps we can help each other. Just for today I will free myself from my self-inflicted burden of guilt, for deep in my heart I know if here was anything in this world I could of done to save my child from death, I would of done it. Just for today I will honor my child's memory by doing something with another child because I know that would make my own child proud. Just for today I will offer my hand in friendship to another bereaved parent for I do know how they feel. Just for today when my heart feels like breaking, I will stop and remember that grief is the price we pay for loving and the only reason I hurt is because I had the privilege of loving so much. Just for today I will not compare myself with others. I am fortunate to be who I am and have had my child for as long as I did. Just for today I will allow myself to be happy, for I know that I am not deserting her by living on. Just for today I will accept that I did not die when my child did, my life did go on, and I am the only one who can make that life worthwhile once more.
