Marion Elizabeth Rhuland,84, of Bridgewater, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 15, 2012 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in First South, she was a daughter of the late Auburn and Loie (Walters) Hirtle.

Marion enjoyed frequent trips to the Casino as well as having a great love of animals, especially the family dog, Sammy. The family will miss her presence on Sunday for dinner, a family tradition. She was a quiet person who enjoyed life and took a keen interest in the people she knew.

Marion is survived by her son, Terry (Regina) Rhuland, Rhodes Corner; step-grandchildren, Kimberley (Alan) Whynot, Joanne Laing, sister, Marjorie (Laurie) Croft, Bridgewater and Beulah Hirtle, Wileville.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg. At Marion’s request a private family graveside service will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
